The Audley Webster Memorial Essay Contest is an annual writing competition for all students enrolled in first-year writing courses (ENG 105, 106, 107, or 208). The contest is endowed by the family of Professor Audley M. Webster, a much respected instructor who taught composition courses and closely mentored students for many years at the University of Miami. Student entries respond to assignment prompts from their first-year writing courses and demonstrate the skillful and engaging writing produced in our English Composition courses every semester.

Submissions are being received until May 15, 2017.
