Abstract

We have investigated the total and differential cross section for the reactions N$\sb{i}(l', l) N\sb{f}$ for the system of $A = 12$ nuclei under various conditions. A kinematical singularity at the maximal angle in the differential cross section for the outgoing nucleus is eliminated. Also, the behavior of the differential cross section for incoming leptons of energies, up to 3 GeV is examined. In the light of two recent experiments$\sp{1,2}$, we investigated the effect of a large pseudoscalar form factor. Making use of new data, we obtain an improved functional form for the weak magnetism form factor, and its effect on the cross section has been examined in detail.
