Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a single, complete, and comprehensive catalog that features orchestral music from Latin America. This should bring Latin American symphonic music to the knowledge of conductors, music directors, and orchestral librarians worldwide. This catalog includes relevant information such as the composer’s name, nationality, and birth and death dates. It also includes critical information to conductors and orchestra librarians when considering programing a piece: title, total duration, detailed orchestration, and name of the publisher from whom performance materials could be rented or purchased. Appendices to this essay include the list of publishers with their contact information, and a list of composers by country. This catalog is intended for practical use by performers.
