Abstract

Passing is a creative work of fiction presented as a compilation of linked short stories, which address various narratives involving themes of political, in most cases particularly Middle-Eastern connection. The stories are organized moving from commentary on issues faced by characters abroad and then in North America. Characters spanning from women to men, teen-agers and children, attempt to create a portrait of a global society negotiating political and personal issues, from a variety of perspectives. The stories are intended to give insight into worlds that the reader may not have access to, and to develop empathy for the personal desires and plights of the narrators.
